Though lava lamps were more popular a few decades ago, you can still find them in most stores. I don’t think they ever really went away, but they may never be as popular as they were back then. I had one in college, but that was only because I was bad with money and I didn’t know any better. It was, after all, pretty and blue. How was I supposed to resist that? Today, I could easily resist, but back then, well, I just had to have a lava lamp of my own.
I feel like a fashion dunce. I’m not sure if it’s just my coloring, but I have never been able to choose the right lipstick color that looks good on me. I have tried and tried, but I can never seem to be able to find anything that doesn’t make me look silly. Perhaps it is just the look of lipstick itself that I don’t like, and you will find that I have only every bought a few sticks of lip color in my life. For the most part, if I want to color my lips, I stick to lip-gloss because it looks better on me.
Leg warmers are the best thing to come back from the eighties. Not only are they adorable, affordable and easy to make yourself, they are also the most comfortable way to keep yourself warm in cold weather. Instead of wearing constricting hose or tights, leg warmers allow your legs to breathe and move as they naturally do while still keeping you warm and cozy. Leg warmers are not just for ballerinas. I consider them to be a fashion staple. Any woman, or man for that matter, can pull these off.
I used to have leather furniture. Prior to purchasing it, I thought that having leather furniture would be a sign of status and make my small apartment somehow look fancier. I knew that leather furniture would cost more money but I was so excited about having a more substantial paycheck, so I spent it. I visited several furniture stores to get some basic prices and find out about financing before I finally settled on the leather furniture that I wanted. I found a beautiful leather couch and a recliner that I knew would look great and fit into my living room perfectly. Almost two thousand dollars later, I was making plans for having my new leather furniture delivered. I left the store with a huge smile on my face and having decided that I would be getting rid of my old furniture the night before my anticipated delivery.
There are so many great ways to get in shape these days. Just take your pick from the masses. Would you prefer a jog through the park, a membership at the Y, a lifecycle exercise bike, or possibly a fancy treadmill? I love the choice factor. It's clear that we don't all enjoy the same routines. Diversity is essential in the fitness process. This is how we're all able to get our exercise on. Personally I prefer free weights. On the other hand, my wife prefers heavy cardio routines. What tickles your fancy when it comes to getting fit? Oh, and remember, something is always better than nothing at all.
