How to find the right internship programs?

Written by Rudy. Posted in Education - Job and Employment Resources

One of the best ways to gain experience to help you land your first job is to go into internship programs. These offer you positions with leading companies so you can learn the basics of the career you are pursuing. For the most part, internship programs are non-paying, but some positions may earn you money. These are also often limited in time, and once the internship is over it is time for you to move on. Some colleges require you to complete internship programs before you can graduate, and they often help you find the right one for you.

Benefits of getting degrees online

More and more, companies are requiring that their employees or applicants have college degrees. Twenty years ago, having a college degree was not as urgent or as important as it seems to be today. What is interesting is to see how many college graduates end up in careers that they majored in. I'm a prime example. I have a degree in criminal justice and I am a writer for a newspaper now. Trust me, I never dreamed that would happen. However, my employer didn't seem to notice that my degree had nothing to do with writing articles, they simply noticed that I had a college degree and that satisfied them. Amazingly, that's how quite a few places seem to work nowadays.

I used to have three separate student loan bills. Two were for my undergraduate studies (which I have decided I actually couldn’t afford) and one was for graduate school (which I definitely could not afford). Paying all three bills in a timely manner was a real headache for me.
